Calcium chloride

Back
Chemical formula:CaCl2
Application:it has several common applications such as brine for plants kept in coolers, ice and dust control agent on roads and in cement;
because it is strongly hygroscopic, air or other gases may be channeled through a column of calcium chloride to remove moisture;
it can also be added to liquids to remove suspended or dissolved water (used as drying agent or desiccant);
together with sodium chloride it is used as a substance preventing ice from covering roads and other surfaces
